Clash of the Titans

1) Who are the Titans?
according to the film, they are the parents' of Zeus, Poseidon and Hades.

2) Are the any interesting motifs you see frequently appearing (Eg. Lightning bolts)? How do you interpret their meaning? Can you name a modern version, of this motif, used today?
There are lightning bolts, wings, swords, shields, statues and temples. The lightning bolts interpret the power and grace of Zeus, the wings interpret pegasus, the swords and shields interpret the soldiers. The statues interpret the worship of man to god at that time and the temples interpret the Olympus, the place of gods. Olympus name of popular camera brand, Spartan the Greek warrior is a name of financial advisory company (Spartan Corporation), Parthenon the temple of Athena now used for most of Greek restaurant in any city of the world (Parthenon Restaurant).

3) Is your Greek character in the movie? If so, does the film's interpretation match your research?
No, it isn't.

4) Are any of the characters, in the movie, related (Eg. a mother or father, wife or husband, brother or sister) to your Greek myth? If so, how?
Yes, there is someone related to my Greek myth. Zeus technically is Centaurs' grandfather as he was born from Apollo according to Greek mythology.

5) Is their a constellation of stars named after your Greek character?
Yes, there is a constellation of stars named Centaurus the Centaur.

6) How is Medusa killed? Does your Greek character have a weakness?
Medusa is killed by Perseus, he looked for Medusa's reflection from his shield and cut her head off with his sword. There is no record telling about Centaur's physical weakness. If Centaur does have a weakness, it must have been their brute attitude and uncivilized manner that had been a cause of wars between them and other races.

CENTAURS

Appearance and Relationship
In Greek Mythology, the centaurs are a hybrid race of creatures, part human and part horse. They were said to have been born from Ixion (son of Ares) and Nephele (the cloud made look alike Hera). Others said that they were descended from the Centaurus and Magnesian mares. There is also female form of this creature known as Centaurides.

Some people also describe them by their lustfulness and drunkenness except the one known as the wise centaur named Cheiron.

Cheiron himself isn't a descendant of Ixion like any other centaurs. He was born from the relationship between the Titans Cronos and Philyra. That is why Cheiron got the best of a centaur in wisdom and gentleness and also trusted to guide some of the Greek greatest heroes.

Adventure
The most famous battle that involved the centaurs are known as the centauromachy. It was a battle between the centaurs and the Lapiths. Lapithes (first king of the Lapiths) is actually a twin of Centaurus (ancestor of centaurs). So the Lapiths invited the Centaurs to their king's wedding one day, long after Lapithes has passed away and Perithous took his place. The Centaurs got drunk and tried to take the bride and raped her.

The Lapiths fought them back in order to defend their queen with the help of some Athenian heroes that were also invited to that wedding. At the end, the Lapiths won the battle and drove the Centaurs away from that land, Thessaly.
